Early this morning we hit our 100,000 th like on our Facebook page.

As another year draws to a close, and the merriment of the festive season just two weeks away, we here at Ellusionist wanted to take the time to thank you for all the support you’ve shown us over the last year, and wish you – from all of our families, to all of yours – a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Joyous Kwanza, Festive Yule and an altogether Happy Holidays – and rather than writing down our thoughts – we figured it was better said like this;

There’s still more from us to come this year, with Metal 2 & 3 just around the corner, and some more exciting launches in the next weeks – but before everyone gets caught up in the Tinsel and Turkeys, we wanted to wish you all the best for the season.

Milbourne Christopher (1914 – 1984) was an American illusionist.

He wrote more than twenty books, was national president of the Society of American Magicians (SAM), and was an honorary vice-president to the London Magic Circle. Milbourne Christopher was also chairman of SAM’s Occult Investigating Committee and was one of the original members of CSICOP.

His collection of magic memorabilia contained prints, paintings, photographs, posters, playbills and drawings of the greatest conjurers in history, and was the largest in private hands. Many of these items appeared in his book The Illustrated History of Magic.

FACT: David Coperfield owns the Milbourne Christopher collection and houses it in his secret warehouse in Las Vegas.

With more than 20 books, 10 TV specials (including the first on prime time network TV in the US), two Broadway magic shows, one off-Broadway spectacular, starring roles at Madison Square Garden’s Magicworld and performances in 72 countries, he was a master to say the least.

I’ve decided that it’s my job to leave quality breadcrumbs for future generations of magicians.

More specifically, as the center for quality magic information on the web, I want to guide you in the best possible direction in order for you to grow as an individual artist. The time has come to connect all of the ideas and take it to a new level. Exposing you to high quality magic, from amazing magicians, only increases the chances of that happening. It also helps educate you about magic’s rich past. In turn the art of magic advances, and ultimately, that’s want I want.

Sifting through thousands of magic videos and choosing the purest performances has been a hefty project and a lofty goal, to be sure. Nonetheless, you’re worth ALL of the effort. If you’ve never heard of these magicians or their accomplishments, do yourself a favor and learn about them. You have my word it will make you a better magician, and swiftly assist you in achieving results that you’ve always strived for.
