One of David Blaine’s team members has experience hanging people upside down. Namely, Spider Man.

The New York Times published this report about Randy Beckman, an 18-year expert at film stunts. Beckman directed a 250-foot plunge in Spider Man 2, where Peter Parker regains his powers. In the PR buzz for the DVD release, he also engineered a stunt Spidey to ring the bell of the New York Stock Exchange upside down.

No word whether the stunt veteran is involved with the big finale of “David Blaine: Dive of Death,” the upcoming special airing at 9 p.m. EST tomorrow (!!!) on ABC.
