Sean Fields: The Ellusionist Interview

It’s all his sister’s fault.

When Sean Fields was about 5 years old, his sister recommended the gift of a magic kit, so that he would be easier to babysit. That started a love for magic that has stayed with the 31-year-old Canadian.

Fields is the creator of Sick, which was made available today at Ellusionist. He talked with us about a number of things, including the genre of shock magic, what a performer must absolutely do before taking up the genre, why you probably shouldn’t perform Sick at a restaurant and why Fields won’t be releasing any effects involving vomit.

This is a must-listen podcast for anyone remotely interested in shock, geek or bizarre magic. Enjoy.
