NPH to direct Hollingworth in adaptation of Erdnase’s classic book

It’s long been known that Neil Patrick Harris is 1.) awesome and 2.) has a great love of magic. His latest project reflects both of those things.

Harris has teamed with close-up magic master Guy Hollingworth and directs him in “The Expert at the Card Table,” a small, intimate show running from July 13 to Aug. 7 at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica, Calif. Written by Hollingworth, the show is an adaptation of one of magic’s great, unsolved mysteries: The author of the influential book and how it came to be.

The announcement was made on NPH’s site about a week ago; last Friday he announced a special deal for Goldstar members in the below video, which features his brand of magic (we dare you to find a YouTube reveal of this):
