New York Magic Project: Blaine’s first day of inversion kicks off well

September 22nd, 2008 | Joe Hadsall | Filed Under David Blaine

The guys at the New York Magic Project, including Ellusionist Forum moderator Kevin Reylek, hung out at Central Park and watched the first hours of David Blaine’s “Dive of Death.” They have posted a timeline of the event (spoiler: Blaine’s first urination occurs at about 11 a.m.) and plenty of pictures.

Most interesting: Reylek and Alex Pandrea (above) get to interview Blaine and quiz him about a bullet catch in Orlando. Blaine’s answer suggests that the finale to Dive of Death, which will occur during this Wednesday’s show, won’t be a bullet catch.

p.s. NYC-area magicians will appreciate the New York Magic Project’s mission. Check it out.

  1. Thanks Joe.

You guys can keep check out our areas (site, youtube page, etc) even after the stunt is over for more pictures, videos, and updates. We just have too much material and too little time to get everything up before Wednesday!

As a clarification – The guy in the video with David is Alex Pandrea, who will be starring in some upcoming NYMP DVDs. I like to stay behind the camera!

    Thanks, and stay tuned!
