Mentalists, magicians, others weigh in with Super Bowl predictions

January 30, 2009

As the big game nears, mentalists, magicians and other magic-related celebrities are giving their predictions about who will win: The Arizona Cardinals or the Pittsburgh Steelers:

  • Penn and Teller’s Penn Gillette was part of a cavalcade of stars in this article. He predicts the Steelers, because “Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger has an unbeatable motivation: the NFL promised that if he wins a second Super Bowl, he can put an umlaut on his uniform.”
  • Mike Super and Justin Robert Young hold a half-hour Steelers love-fest on iTricks.com. The Phenomenon winner, who hails from Pittsburgh, picked the Steelers to win and cover the seven-point spread — and much more. Baltimore Ravens fans probably shouldn’t listen to this.
  • Patricia Arquette, who plays a serious psychic on Medium, picked the Cardinals AND the Steelers. The character is from Arizona, she said, but the actress has a feeling about Zombietown’s Steelers…
  • As I find them, I’ll update this post, so keep checking back.

Baltimore Ravens fans should consider a lot of life changes before they worry about my complete restrained, tactful and on-topic podcast with Mr. Super.

Also, Kurt Warner once stole a kitten.

I’m not throwing stones, here. If the New Orleans Saints were in the big game, I’d be overflowingly effervescent as well. About the only thing the Saints have on the Steelers is that the Saints’ song is sung in churches around the world.

    Got something to say?
