A bit of sifting through press releases for the upcoming episodes of ‘Lost’ reveals that a Hawaiian magician snagged a guest role in the popular drama.

Glen Bailey, a performing magician in Hawaii, will play the role of “Magician” in the upcoming episode, “316,” scheduled to air on Feb. 18 on the ABC network. It could be a bit part. Then again, Desmond was originally cast as “creepy Scottish dude calling everyone ‘brothah.’” OK, not really.

ANYWAY… Bailey is a member of the IBM Ring No. 185. He performs regular restaurant gigs and baby luaus around Hawaii, and is also a civilian employee with the U.S. Air Force. He was a recent guest speaker for the Honolulu Sunset Rotary Club, which wrote up a more in-depth bio. The IBM ring might have known about Bailey’s guest spot when he filmed it in November, but delayed naming him for fear his scene would end up on the cutting room floor.
