The nation’s leading manufacturer of playing cards has opened a new plant in Kentucky.

The U.S. Playing Card Co. held a “card cutting ceremony” Wednesday to celebrate the opening of its new 570,000-square-foot facility in Erlanger, Ky. According to a press release, the new plant holds the company’s 500 employees and features a single-floor bay facility that allows the company to streamline its production. Part of that facility includes a new Goss printer.

The company produces about 400,000 decks of playing cards each day, including all of Ellusionist’s custom decks of playing cards. However, though the press release touts its regular brands of Aviator, Bee, Bicycle and Hoyle playing cards, it makes no mention of brands such as Arrco and Tally Ho, which are favored by magicians and flourishers.

Rumors have been circulating about the limited production of those decks. Several calls made this month requesting an interview have not been returned by USPC officials.
