Everything composed made a great deal of sense. But, what about this? what if you added a little content? I mean, I don’t wish to tell you how to run your blog, however what if you added something that grabbed folk’s attention? I mean Online Magic News – Ellusionist Street Magic Blog » Blog Archive » Brad Christian: Your sleights mean nothing is kinda boring. You might glance at Yahoo’s front page and see how they create post titles to grab viewers interested. You might add a video or a related pic or two to grab people interested about everything’ve got to say. In my opinion, it could make your website a little bit more interesting.

I agree with Brad 100%. I am a beginner so the fancy flourishes aren’t in my domain yet, and I can get pretty good reactions just by adjusting my patter to the audience – I like saying to my girl that i know her so well I can easily read her body language (and find out her card).

OK, I’ve watched the video and I think Brad C’s suggestions would apply to people who present magic with a narrative, assuming that other people live in a narrative world.

What if the people so gently accosted by the well-meaning magician try live at some remove from the narrative cages of our days?

At this stage of the game, Lao-tzu has already left town decades or centuries ago to get away from people with narratives in their heads.

“I put a Godiva chocolate bar, and now it is ten goldfish” — this is a break from everyday reality.
