In a little twist of irony, New York City has had a rash of basejumpers and building climbers, so a law was recently passed banning such things, according to Sky News. It prohibits climbing, jumping from, or hanging from large buildings or structures — unless you have approval from the police department and the structure’s owner. “Valuable city resources are dedicated to responding to these events,” said a spokesperson for the city. “Resources that could be better utilized to respond to other emergencies.”
