Blaine target of spoofs, satire

September 21st, 2008 | Joe Hadsall | Filed Under David Blaine

It’s been said that you haven’t made it until people make fun of you. If you haven’t seen this spoof of David Blaine’s street magic, enjoy. It’s brilliant.

The video was created by members of the Groundlings improv troupe, based out of Los Angeles. The guys were recently profiled in the Los Angeles Times. The guys made the definitive parody of the street-magic master; pretty much every other parody floating around on the ‘Net is the same as their concept.

Except for this one, which is a portrayal of Blaine by none other than the Mindfreak:

It’d be funny if it were just Angel doing his thing. But the Mindfreak consultants talking about it? Creepy awkward.

  1. These videos are SO funny. His stare back at the camera is priceless. PART 2 is great as well. I did a lecture to my yeargroup at school last year, and showed a couple of these videos at the end of my seminar and everyone was cracking up.

By the way, I thought I’d add; great blog, I hadn’t been ’round here for some time, but you guys have done well with the content.

    Cheers.
