We first heard of a Criss Angel appearance at Comic Con, in San Diego, from iTricks, which spotted a heads-up on his MySpace page. Now, no less than the New York Times tells us what it was: A mock funeral. (Of course, we had to read about all kinds of 3-D films to get to the two sentences about it… C’mon, Mike Rutherford, where are ya?)
We predict Angel’s haters are going to have a field day with this one.
ANYWAY… Staged by the A&E Network, ladies and gentlemen donned in black carried coffins through the main walkway. The network published a couple of pictures on its Twitpic site. The funeral was held to promote the upcoming season No. 5 of the show:
