New at Ellusionist: Learn Now videos

Friday, April 30th, 2010

Ever since 2001, when Ellusionist first started selling downloadable videos full of magic tricks and presentations, customers have asked us for “quick hit” tricks — short videos that taught a single trick or effect. Because that demand has grown over the years, we’re happy to finally bring some to you.

Freshly posted at Our new Learn Now section. Currently, it is loaded up with some great card work from Valdemar Gestur, including the No-Name Change, Motorcycle Change and IceShot.

Many more effects are in the works. Keep an eye out for card magic, coin magic, mentalism and more from some of our established artists and a few new ones. We hear Brad might even be cooking up a few things for this section…

Gecko getting an extreme upgrade on May 4

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

You already know what the Gecko can do. But wait until you see how creator Andy Amyx has improved it.

The Gecko Extreme is an upgrade package for Jim Rosenbaum’s creation that adds increased functionality and more blink-and-you’ll-miss-them vanishes. The Extreme also lets you transform things just as quickly. And, the package comes with a full-featured training DVD from Andy that goes into more detail.

Gecko Extreme will be available exclusively from Ellusionist on May 4. About a month later, E will host a live, advanced workshop with Andy. You’ll be able to live chat with the creator and other Gecko Extreme users.

Andy is also answering questions in this thread.

If you’re not already a fan, or liking us, or whatever Facebook calls it now, join up at our official Facebook page.

The fourth random name will receive a deck of Gold Arcanes. We’ll announce all the winners on Friday, May 7.

Good luck!
